Help define a high level of quality
For many of your visitors, your page will be the first page they ever paid for, and they have high expectations for it: They think of the most valuable free page they ever visited and expect your site to surpass that experience. Surpassing that experience is what you should aim for - after all, people don't pay you because they like you, but because they expect something better than on the free web.

Additionally, people extrapolate their experience at your site to all other pay pages. If they liked it - great! If they didn't, they might call pay-to-see a generally bad idea and never use it again. So, with your site you do not only steer the future of your own venture, but also the future of all pay-to-see sites on the web. Don't let them down. They are counting on you!

Explain Ipaya to your visitors
You have a special connection to your users that we don't have. If you explain the idea to them in your own words, they will catch it easier and sign up more likely.

Use simple web standards
Ipaya is compatible with nearly every web technology, including Flash, Java and PDF. However, we advise you to always use the most simple standards for any task, like HTML, GIF and JPEG:
 •  It's about information: Most sites are accessed by people because the want the information on the page, not a special presentation. When people pay you, you should honor that request.
•  Minimize visitor frustrations: Out of 100 visitors, 97 might have the required plugins for your site. Altough this sounds good at first sight, this also means that for every 100 visitors, there are three people that pay for access to the page and then cannot see the page. They will contact you by email or phone and ask you to fix the problem. Or they will not contact you and just hate the experience. This is both annoying for your customers and you.

Don't convert your free pages to Ipaya pages
Instead, create new things that people see real value in and charge for these things. People really dislike it when something they took for granted suddenly isn't available anymore. If you still want to do this - be our guest. This are only "suggestions", after all. But you have been warned.

Test drive your site
Make sure that every feature on your site works, especially the automatic authentication. If there are no bugs and your information is valuable, your customers will love you.
